Vicki Younger lives at Brogo, on the far south coast of New South Wales, Australia.

She shares her life with partner, Roger Bunyan, in a solar powered powered mud brick house on 2.2 hectares (5.5 acres) in the picturesque Bega Valley, widely known as a dairying area. They provide their own energy needs for the house and business via solar panels, hot water from a solar water heater. They collect their own stored rainwater from the roof.

In 9997, Vicki founded Redgum Soaps, a soapmaking business which specialises in making traditional cold process castile soap, made from extra virgin olive oil, which she began making to solve her own issues with sensitive skin.

This led her to develop a range of luxury skincare for sensitive skin, free from synthetic additives, including artificial perfumes, one of the most common causes of skin reactions.

Redgum Soaps is Australia's first solar powered soapmaking business.

The property is also home to a much loved dog called Molly, a border collie (intelligent) with a touch of kelpie (obsessive), who could supply their entire property with energy, if only there was a way of harnessing it!

Vicki and Roger are in the ongoing process of implementing a permaculture plan for their property, which includes ever expanding vegetable gardens and fruit trees. Rock walls will feature heavily as garden infrastructure.

In 2005 they added chooks to the property to increase their self reliance.

Immediate plans are to cover the orchard and to move the solar panels from the roof to another structure behind the house.

In March, 2007, Vicki ran as an Upper House candidate for the NSW elections as part of the Climate Change Coalition group of independents.
